A multi-functional website supporting rehabilitation services, public communication, fundraising, and stakeholder engagement for one of Ukraine’s leading healthcare initiatives.
UNBROKEN is a Ukrainian rehabilitation initiative providing comprehensive medical, psychological, and social support to civilians and military personnel affected by war. Operating as part of the First Medical Union in Lviv, the organization delivers prosthetics, physical rehabilitation, occupational therapy, and mental health services.
As the initiative expanded rapidly following the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, its digital presence became a central point of communication for patients, families, donors, volunteers, partners, and the wider international community.
UNBROKEN required a digital platform capable of evolving alongside one of Ukraine’s largest rehabilitation initiatives. Lionwood.software joined the project on a volunteer basis, providing web development, UX improvements, and ongoing maintenance. What began as a simple informational website gradually evolved into a comprehensive platform supporting fundraising, public communication, rehabilitation information, multilingual content, and organizational transparency.
Through continuous iterative development, the website expanded from a landing page into a comprehensive digital platform serving multiple stakeholder groups. The solution supports donations, content management, multilingual communication, organizational reporting, and access to rehabilitation-related information.

The project began during a period of extraordinary uncertainty, when both the scale of humanitarian needs and the organization’s future responsibilities were changing almost daily. The website needed to remain flexible enough to support new initiatives while serving patients, families, donors, volunteers, healthcare professionals, and international partners through a single digital platform.
Lionwood.software adopted an iterative development approach that allowed the website to evolve together with the organization. Rather than treating the project as a one-time implementation, the team continuously expanded the platform with new functionality while maintaining a consistent user experience and reliable day-to-day operation.
